Bennett’s first UIA experience occurred in 1994 when he seized the opportunity to serve as parliamentary advisor to the President of the Senate. He has been a UIA participant in a myriad of ways ever since. It is only fitting that he now serves as the leader of this impressive body.

When asked what his goal is for the 2000 session, Bennett said, "My desire is to get the Utah Student Association out in the open, make it known. I was inspired to do all I can to make this possible when speaking with Darcelle Watkins’ Mother (Darcelle serves as Speaker of the House). Mrs. Watkins challenged me to accomplish something specific and warned not to become a mere figurehead."

Bennett says his favorite ice cream is TinRoof Sundae. His favorite leisure activity is bowling. "I bowl a mean game. That is all there is to it!"
