was born in Salt Lake City but now her family resides in the quiet

International Politics.
This amazing individual
has had several political opportunities that have left her
realizing she may be one solitary person but she does have the
ability to facilitate change. Watkins reflects often on a pivotal
experience that left her wanting more. She said, "Many years
ago I sat in Lowell Nelsons desk. He was the representative for
my area. The experience of sitting at my Reps desk left me
feeling that I can make a difference. It has stuck with me and
seems to influence everything I undertake."
With planner in hand,
Watkins is no stranger to budgeting time and setting goals.
Regarding her goals for the 2000 session, Watkins said, "I
want to provide an atmosphere where representatives feel
comfortable to voice opinions. I want them to feel at ease with me
as the chair so as to make our session a success.
When not out changing the
world, Watkins enjoys spending time with an Oreo Chocolate
Shake from the BYU creamery. Her hobbies include cross-country
skiing and snowshoeing.
