Metrics of Success

Technology Venture Development performs a variety of outreach activities targeting commercialization performance results for the University of Utah.  Key early stage indicators include intellectual property disclosures, commercial sponsored research agreements, and entrepreneurial educational program student participation.  Mid stage results focus on commercial sponsored research revenues, technologies licensed to others and the revenues generated from these licenses.  An important late stage measure of success includes the number of start-up companies that take University technologies into the market and generate new jobs and economic growth for The State of Utah.
